The pandemic has caused both men and women to step back and look at their mental health.
However, mental health in men continues to be a taboo subject, with many men suffering in silence when they experience feelings of sadness, loneliness, anxiety or depression.
Society's expectations and traditional gender roles play a role in why men are less likely to discuss or seek help for their mental health problems.
Some research also suggests that men who struggle to speak openly about their emotions may be less able to recognise symptoms of mental health problems in themselves, meaning they are less likely to reach out for support.
