Mindfulness-Based Psychotherapy
Mindfulness Based Psychotherapy empowers you to connect to your potential to live fully, with more joy and less difficulty.
You may be going through a major life change, or experiencing the impact of loss or of trauma. There may be feelings of anxiety and stress, or you may experience prolonged periods of disconnection and isolation. Maybe you struggle with the bigger questions around knowing who you are and there may be a sense that you are out of touch with yourself and your values. I offer a non-judgemental space where every part of your experience is held in a safe and supportive environment.
My approach is holistic and present-moment focused. It is a process of recognising and learning how to be with the experiences - past and present - that shape our lives. Through understanding the impacts and the patterns that take hold, we are empowered to make the changes we seek.
Mindfulness Based Psychotherapy is grounded in both Western psychodynamic theory and Buddhist psychology and informed by contemplative neuroscience, attachment theory and the role of the nervous system in trauma and healing.
I provide neurodivergent, disability, queer and gender affirmative therapy.
I am a UKCP registered Trainee Psychotherapist completing my fourth and final clinical year with the Karuna Institute of Mindfulness Based Core Process Psychotherapy. I am also registered with the Association of Core Process Psychotherapists. As a member of the UKCP I adhere to their code of ethics and receive clinical supervision.
I have a BPS recognised MSc in Psychology and experience in adult psychological services in the NHS as an assistant psychologist. I have also worked as a behavioural therapist with neurodiverse children and their families for almost ten years. In my therapeutic work I draw from a breadth of experience and take a holistic and individualised approach.
Sessions are 50 minutes and take place online and in-person. Get in touch for a free consultation.
